We are fascinated by what a book can be and what it can do. Books that attempt to challenge the normative form of the book and to reinvigorate its style of engagement.

Paper balls use physical, printed pages to create spherical books. In Genesis (below), all the pages of The Book of Genesis from the Authorized King James version of The Bible are wound around one another by hand. The rough, sculptural result is contemplative and ludic and can easily be thrown into a recycling bin.

Kotext collects samples of women’s incendiary writing stamped on menstrual pads. The printed-on pads are contained in a vintage Kotex box.

Livres de Débris are curated using trash dumpsters at book fairs. Our time is marked by climatological and political-economic crises. Livres de Débris reflect that crisis.
